We have learned of the passing of classmate Joreen (Tamburello) Burris on February 4th 2026.

Susan K. Basola Mann


1947 – 2026

We have learned of the passing of classmate Susan Basola Mann. Susan passed away on January 25th, 2026 at Stillwater Memory Care in Glen Carbon, IL

She is survived by her brother Bud, her sister Joyce, and her sons Todd, Jeffrey and Bradley, and five grandchildren. Our sincere sympathy and condolences are extended to Susan’s family and loved ones in this time of loss.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL, and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at St. John United Church of Christ, 307 West Clay Street, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Jenn Sowell officiating. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.

Patricia (Eckert) Hays


Patricia (Eckert) Hays

We have learned of the passing of classmate Patricia A. Eckert Hays. Patricia passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2026 at Dammert Care Center in Belleville, IL.

Our sincere condolences and sympathy go out to all of Patricia’s loved ones and friends in this difficult time.

Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Jenn Sowell.

Sandra Jean Giofre Thomas


Sandy (Giofre) Thomas

We have learned of the passing of classmate Sandra Jean (Giofre) Thomas. Sandy passed away on January 2nd 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. Sandy was retired from Anderson Hospital in Maryville where she worked as a lab technician.

In accordance with Sandy’s wishes, her body was cremated and no public service was held.

Our sincere condolences and sympathy are extended to all who knew and loved Sandy.

We have learned of the passing of classmate Carl Robinson. Carl passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025 while under hospice care.

It is our understanding that no service will be held. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Our condolences and heartfelt sympathy go out to all of Carl’s friends and family during this difficult time.

We have belatedly learned of the passing of classmate Robert (Bob) Howard. Bob passed away on August 12, 2024 at his residence.

Barbara Boneau-Wright

We have learned of the passing of classmate Barbara Boneau-Wright on Sunday, February 16th, 2025.   We  will post  her obituary on the class website when that becomes available.

David Cates

We have received word of the death of classmate David Cates. David had been hospitalized since early December struggling with numerous complications after having a stent implanted. He passed away today, January 21, 2025.  His obituary will be posted on the class website when it becomes available.
