29 - A message from the Reunion Committee -
Dear Classmates –
Your class reunion committee has been putting together ideas for a 65th birthday party. Our current ideas include an afternoon riverboat cruise down the Mississippi, which will include brunch and music. We will provide transportation for a maximum of 90 people from Collinsville to the riverboat, and return. We are also investigating a possible activity to follow the cruise (at which food and drink would be at your expense). The date we are considering for the party is Saturday, September 29, 2012.
We would appreciate your early response as to whether you might attend, and we welcome any additional suggestions you may have for activities. Please respond as soon as possible so that we can continue the planning process. Click here to send an email to the committee . We would like to hear from you before our next committee meeting, which is scheduled for early January.
Thanks a lot, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Your Reunion Committee

18 - Georgia Yost has sent us some photos of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club at their October get-together yesterday.. These ladies seem to have a grand time whenever they get together. Maybe it's time that you came too. Join them for next month's dinner! Click on a picture for a larger view.

26 - Again I seem to be playing catch-up. I want to welcome classmate Bob Field as a registered user to the site. Bob registered on the 20th from the great state of Nebraska! Welcome Bob! And again, I apologize for the time lapse here - I've been trying to set up a new computer and save all of this stuff before it went belly-up on me, and it turned out to be a greater task than I thought.
19 - A hearty welcome goes out to our newly registered classmate, David Gnavi. David registered today from the great state of Arizona. Welcome David! Also, it seems that back in July I failed to welcome Mary Jo Allen Marsh as a registered user. Mary Jo registered on July 5th from Minnesota - maybe the holiday got me messed up. My sincere apologies Mary Jo. And a belated Welcome to you too!
August 2011 -
16 - I missed this somewhere along the line, but let me get it corrected now. Classmate Georgia Yost has published her first book entitled "How To Be Effective In God's Army" (Georgia is an ordained minister). It is available in paperback from Amazon for $15.99, as well as other book outlets. It was published in June of this year, but I somehow missed the original announcement. At any rate, click this link and BUY THE BOOK!
16 - Nancy Kingsbury Fox has sent us a photo of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club at their August get-together yesterday. And I've noticed that every time they get together there are always smiles all around! Maybe it's time that you came too. Join them for next month's dinner! Click on the picture for a larger view.

15 - Classmate Joe Mannisi and his lovely wife Dianna Mannisi could both use a heavy dose of prayer and support from all of us right now. Joe is fighting a serious infection that occurred post-surgery, and Dianna is undergoing chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer. Lift them both up for however long it takes.
13 - A hearty welcome goes out to our newly registered classmate, Linda Baquet Harris. Linda stumbled upon a link to our site somewhere on Facebook. Linda, we're extremely happy you found us! Welcome aboard!
1 - Good News if you use a 64-bit version of Internet Explorer or other 64-bit browser. Adobe Systems has released a beta version of Adobe Flash Player 11 for 64-bit systems. Understand that this is beta software - which means it's still being developed and may have some bugs. But I downloaded it to my desktop today and - so far - it works like a charm. All of the Flash based content on this website seems to work fine - the music players and slideshows. So - give it a spin! You can get the beta version here.
July 2011 -
27 - Classmate David Pauli (aka Fid Hawser) has published his first novel in the Kindle format on Amazon.com. It's a good read, a sci-fi story of time travel from the present day to roughly 1000 years ago to the thriving civilization of the Cahokia Mounds indians titled "The Fetish Of The Sun God". I was fortunate enough to see a prerelease copy, and I enjoyed every page. If you have a Kindle, for $2.99 you can share in Dav's adventure too. Click this link and BUY THE BOOK!
19 - I have FINALLY found some time to sit down and link photos from last year's reunion to the 1965 class photos in the photo album page. Now you can see what folks looked like back when, and what they look like as of October last year. I think I got everyone who attended, but if you see something amiss please let me know. AND - if you have a current photo of yourself that you'd care to share with the class, please send it on to me so I can get it posted!
19 - Georgia Yost has sent us some photos of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club at their July get-together yesterday.. These ladies seem to have a grand time whenever they get together. Maybe it's time that you came too. Join them for next month's dinner! Click on a picture for a larger view.
4 - I received the news this morning of the death of classmate Carl Bloomquist. Carl passed away on Friday July 1st at his home in Maryville. Our sincere condolences go out to his children and friends. His obituary information is on the 'Deceased' page.

21 - Georgia Yost has sent us some photos of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club at their June get-together yesterday evening. Kind of a small group this month, but I'll bet that had a great time just the same. Join them for next month's dinner! Click on a picture for a larger view.
13 - Classmate Nancy Morales Owler has forwarded to us an article concerning the life of classmate Raymond Krek that appeared in The Daily Jefferson County Union newspaper. The article is reproduced here. Thanks Nancy. Ray was a good man.

7 - Thanks goes out to Eric Vincent, son of our late classmate Mike Vincent. Eric saw that we were missing information on his father's obituary and was kind enough to send us some information (which is now posted on the "Deceased" page). Thanks Eric. It's really difficult to dig up that information after so many years, and we appreciate the help.
6 - Congratulations are in order for our newly re-elected Mayor John Miller, husband of our own Diane Hadfield Miller. John was re-elected to a full 4-year term yesterday!
6 - Made a few minor changes to this page - it was beginning to get bulky and just too darn long. I've now broken older posts into year groups, so that if you're still interested in reading what was posted a while back, you can still access them through the menu above. This will help keep the "current" news page a bit shorter, faster loading, and hopefully more meaningful.
March 2011 -
22 - Georgia Yost has once again sent us some photos of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club at their March get-together. As usual, everyone had a great time. Don't you think it's time you joined them for an evening of fun, fellowship, and memories? Shoot them an email and join in! Click on any thumbnail for a larger picture. And thanks Georgia!

18 - Admin note - this site will be unavailable for approximately 1-3 hours between roughly 9:00 PM (MDT) tonight until about 5:00 AM (MDT) March 19th (tomorrow). The down time will allow the computer servers which house our site to be physically moved to a new home. Our hosting service, Hostmonster.com, has completed construction of a new data center in Provo Utah, and this move is being made to ensure continued reliable hosting. Sorry for any inconvience this might cause.
8 - Classmate Terry Scott was kind enough to send us a current photo of himself, so we can know who he is today. He also gave me a very timely suggestion that I should start tagging the photos I put on the News page so that he, and other folks, can know who those lovely ladies are at each monthly gathering of the dinner club. I have therefore tagged the photos for the February meeting listed below, and I'll try to make sure that happens for each new photo I post. Like many of us, Terry has lived away from Collinsville for many years, lost touch with classmates, and can no longer recognize us (even though WE haven't changed much over the years :). Anyway, here's a recent photo of Terry, and you can see side-by-side photos of him in the classmate photos area. Click the photo for a larger image.

31 - We learned today of the death of classmate Steve Hampsch's father. Our condolences and prayers go out to Steve and his family in this time of loss.
21 - Welcome to our most recently registered classmates - Terry Fischer registered yesterday, and Terry Dickerson registered today. We're especially happy to see Terry Dickerson register - he's been listed on our missing page for some time now. We find he's been living down in Texas. Hopefully both of these Terrys, and all the rest of you, will be able to get back to Collinsville the next time we gather! Welcome aboard guys.
18 - Dianne Mardus Parker has been kind enough to share a photo from last night's gathering of the Ladies of '65 Dinner Club. Donna Wilson Schumacher joined the group for the first time, and Barbara Stirnamen Hasamear came back after a long absence. Maybe it's time for YOU to join with them next month - I'm sure they'd love to have you. You can contact them here. Click the image for a larger view.
